Sorry for the break folks. We didn't get into the Park last fall and weren't sure we would do a trip report.
Finally got back in June and decided to put up both reports. Thanks for your patience. Tim and Christine

Great post! I enjoyed reading about your adventures. I am heading to Yellowstone on May 13 for seven days and I am looking forward to walking on some of your tracks. I just hope my new 500mm lens captures a fraction of what you have encountered and that the three nights at Old Faithful and two nights at Mammoth Springs will be good enough to put me in the right place at the right time. The good news is that I am an early morning person and I am pretty patient so, who knows?

Hi, Chris. Yes the drive from Billings was beautiful along the Chief Joseph – there are photos on the first day’s page of the trip report of the red rocks. The wagon ruts we hiked don’t compare with those of the Oregon Trail; they were probably made by service vehicles or livestock trailers. Still gets the imagination going. Wolf numbers are way down, but we were lucky enough to see 3 adults from the Lamar Canyon Pack and at least 3 adults from the Canyon Pack, as well as two tiny puppies. We had much better viewing than we expected. Thanks for posting again – it’s nice to hear from you. Tim and Christine.

Hi guys.

Great trip once again. I had heard the snows had hung around this year. Do you have any photos of the trip from Billings to the park (as you said it was beautiful)?
You mentioned wagon ruts. Is that a name of a walk or actually wagon ruts. I ask as I did a historic Oregon trail self guided tour and saw some great wagon ruts, particularly in Guernsey Wyoming. Tim you seem blessed or its probably hard work to get the most amazing photos. I would be so proud if I had the same. How are the wolf numbers this year. Were they as bad as you first thought. Thanks for the latest post, beautifully written as normal. Chris, UK

Amazing photographs. We are planning a trip to Yellowstone next month & heard that Lemar Valley is the place to see wildlife. I just googled the name and your incredibly wonderful sight came up. Now I am really excited about visiting. Thank you.

Hi Mike and Tineke. Thats a great video you guys took. Wonderful capture of the pack crossing the road and going out into the Lamar. We really enjoyed watching that, reminded us of old times before the present issues. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your video.
